Holiday Activities for Kids

December 14, 2019

Yesterday I had a mild panic attack realizing Christmas is 2 weeks away! I realized I haven’t done any of the fun holiday traditions we usually do and I was so stressed I felt like I couldn’t even remember what to do! So I asked everyone for their best holiday traditions and activies. I had so many people ask me to share what everyone said so I decided it was easiest to make a post with everything everyone suggested, plus a few of my own! If you have any more suggestions please let me know. I realize this is a long list! Obvisouly, we can’t do all of these things this year, but here’s are the suggestion I gathered that we will attempt to check off this year and save the rest for next.

  • Write letters to Santa
  • Decorate cookies
  • Watch Christmas movies
  • Make a family ornament
  • Decorate gingerbread houses (premade ones available at Target)
  • Drive to see Christmas lights/display

  • Listen to Christmas music
  • Put on a “Christmas play”
  • Let kids each pick out a special ornament for themselves (write date on it)
  • Make a felt/paper tree on wall for kids to decorate
  • Make Christmas cards
  • Pick out matching pajamas
  • Draw your own elf
  • Christmas movie slumber party in the living room
